U šumskim požarima u regionu Beotije u centralnoj Grčkoj, stradao je jedan muškarac, a osam osoba je povrijeđeno, saopštile su grčke službe za vanredne situacije.
Veliki šumski požar izbio je danas sjeverno od Atike, 100 kilometara severno od Atine, a stradao je stari pastir od posljedica udisanja dima, kada je otrčao u tor da spase svoje životinje, rekao je portparol vatrogasne službe.
Požar je izbio i na ostrvu Evija, gdje se 42 vatrogasca i četiri aviona bore sa plamenom, a požari i dalje bjesne na sjeveroistoku Grčke u blizini lučkog grada Aleksandrupolisa.
